Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology Fellowship Program

The Philippine Children’s Medical Center is the first institution in the country to set up a Section of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and the only institution in the country offering a fellowship program for Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology. This two-year pediatric otorhinolaryngology fellowship program began in 2005 and is based on a recognized training program in the United States.
The requirements for admission are otorhinolaryngology board certification or board eligibility and passing the written and oral entry exams. If board eligible, fellow must pass the diplomate board exams during the first year of training otherwise continuation with the program is terminated.
The Section of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology’s extensive and unequaled equipment available for pediatric otology, rhinology, laryngology, broncho esophagology and head and neck cases, together with the complete complement of subspecialty medical and allied services are the pillars of the comprehensive training program. The hospital’s status as the premiere pediatric hospital also provides unparalleled clinical material. Furthermore, the program has the greatest number of fellowships trained pediatric otolaryngologists in its roster of consultants than any other government or private institution in the Philippines.
